Hetty Marini Syed Ahmad has over 18 years of experience in the debt capital market and portfolio management. Currently, Hetty serves as a portfolio manager at Kumpulan Wang Persaraan (KWAP), where she oversees investments in the corporate bond market and leads private credit initiatives.
Hetty began her career in the financial market in 2007 at Etiqa Insurance Berhad (formerly Maybanlife Assurance Berhad) as a credit analyst. In 2011, she transitioned to the role of portfolio manager at Maybank Asset Management, managing proprietary insurance funds and third-party funds. In 2016, Hetty joined KWAP as a fixed income portfolio manager specialising in corporate bonds. Since 2023, she has taken on the role of leading private credit initiatives at KWAP.
Hetty holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland (UQ) and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Malaya (UM). Additionally, she has been certified with the Pasaran Kewangan Malaysia Certificate (PKMC) by the Asian Institute of Chartered Bankers (AICB) since 2012.
