Mr. Leong See Meng (“See Meng”) has extensive experience in banking and fiduciary management of financial institutions. He is currently the Director – Origination & Listings at Bursa Malaysia Berhad.
See Meng is an accountant by training and banker by profession. He read Accounting at RMIT University, Melbourne and graduated with distinction in 1992 after which he completed the CPA programme with CPA Australia.
He started in 1993 with Hongkong & Shanghai Banking Corporation, and has since worked for leading financial institutions including Citibank and Deutsche Bank. He was also the Chief Executive Officer at National Bank of Abu Dhabi. Prior to joining Bursa Malaysia Berhad, he was the Chief Business Officer at Cagamas Berhad.
His career has brought him a wealth of knowledge and experience in corporate finance, fixed income, M&A and sustainable finance. Apart from his current remit, his passion now focusses on the sustainability space where he actively looks into new opportunities, in particular, in the green sector to bring companies and products into the capital markets.
